“La-di-da, la-di-da, la la.”
Which is exactly what I feel today.
A fine balance
So, yesterday was S’s treat at Mocha, L Coll Road (over-priced and uncomfortable seating).
As we are a bunch of bored narcissistic bums too confident of our charms (Ha!) we decided to play the Truth game while we waited for the Irish Bailey *evil grin* shakes to arrive.
Question: One thing that turns you on in that person.
Addendum: One thing that turns you off. In that same person.
We had to articulate it to each person sitting in that circle.
My answers/qualities (for the want of a better word) were…
Turn-ons:
1. My aggressiveness. (Quote: I like a woman that takes charge.)
2. Sarcasm.
3. My assertiveness.
4. My frank nature. (Sic)
5. My eyes.
Turn offs:
1. Too aggressive.
2. Too assertive.
3. Too sarcastic.
4. Irrational and injustified(sic) behavior.
5. Too much of a fok-off attitude.
What?
Ignorance of Law
“One must apply several fatal blows on the body of the person to attract provisions of this section.”
One quillion points to that one who will tell me what is wrong with this sentence.
This post is dedicated to to N. Jhabvala.
With Love.
Angel’s Workshop.
Doing useful things in life is killing me. I want my irrelevant life back.
Santa Claus
OK. So I never believed in Santa Claus.
Didn’t believe that anything I wished for would fit in a stocking.
Now I’m hoping it’ll come…in huge, grey socks, padding across my floor.
Just this once.
The week that was.
This week has been wierd. An eerie mixture of the past, pasta, profundity and propinquity.
For one, I miss my parents dearly. More than I ever thought possible. Which proves I’m not as hard as I’d like to be. (What a piss-off that is!). And I’m beginning to grow up enough to miss people. Who ever thought this would be possible? Blame it on the quarter life crisis.
About the pasta, visited Marz-o-rin and wolfed down two chicken spaghetti things. And this is adding to my abdomenal area quite admirably. The super thing about this that I didn’t have to pay! As broke that I am, this does seems mammoth to me. And this is a shout-out to Ma to ask Naveen to e-charge my phone. I have Rs. 0 balance.
*blushes*
So this week went by in a blur of Fam Law, SEBI and Company Laws, IPC and Meg Cabot. Finished The Memoirs of a Geisha, The Best of Tehelka Part 2, 5 Outlooks, Victoria and the Rogue (don’t ask!) and Tao Te Ching.
As for the Blast (from the past), in a bizzare turn of events, I have begun to discover things. About ‘gone’ ex-crushes and ‘wierd’ questions. Although I would wish the Past would stop soliciting minors. And send foodstuff over.
*laughs*
The profound part would be the self-discovery bit. I discovered that self doesn’t fit nto old ‘jeans’ anymore. Waah!
All in all, a settling week I would think.
*Touches wood*
And in the deepest irony, I would like to mention, Ma, that you indeed have this perverse way of making things coming true. I now have to recite Vivekanada’s discourse on Hinduism as a part of the elocution comp. So I’m reading the book you sent over.
Touche, my kutti.
